Contract Amendment and Modification Policy

To protect customer rights and financial integrity, Subidha Furniture enforces strict controls over contract amendments.

1. Immutable Contract Invariant

Once a contract (Lucky Plan EMI, Rent, or Lease) is activated, its core financial attributes—total contract value, monthly installment amount, tenure, assigned Lucky ID, batch code, and paid history—are legally locked and protected from arbitrary modification.

2. Whitelisted Permissible Amendments

Only specific, audited amendments are permitted through hardened service paths:

**Non-Financial Contact & Address Amendments (Phase 3)**:

Correction of customer phone number, secondary contact, or delivery address.
Requires customer identity verification and administrative approval.

**Same-Price Product Reference Correction (Phase 4)**:

If an administrative clerical error occurred during product SKU selection, and the customer agrees to substitute an identical-priced model:
Amendment is permitted **only if the replacement product base price exactly matches the original product price**.
Financial totals, monthly EMI, tenure, paid amounts, Lucky ID, batch assignment, and accounting entries remain 100% unchanged.

3. Strictly Prohibited Amendments

The following amendments are **strictly blocked by the system** and cannot be executed via the standard workbench:

Retroactive modification of past EMI amounts or payment dates;
Swapping of assigned Lucky IDs after batch draw locking;
Conversion of non-winning subscriptions into winning subscriptions;
Alteration of customer identity to a third party without formal contract assignment;
Unilateral changes to rent deposit terms or yield percentages.

4. Amendment Execution & Audit Log

**Two-Stage Execution**: Amendment proposal must be entered with written justification, followed by executive administrative review and approval.
**Tamper-Evident History**: Every amendment logs an immutable `ContractAmendmentAudit` record storing the prior state, new state, operating user ID, timestamp, and signed customer consent document.

Published policy text is for customer clarity, operational governance, and statutory compliance.
Contracts, tax invoices, receipts, and audited delivery records remain the canonical transaction source.
